Delhi is also an awesome tourist destination apart from being the national capital. For more than millennia, it has been the political centre of the country. There are so many historical destinations you would be spoilt for choice. Delhi hosts numerous historical monuments from Delhi Sultanate, Mughal, and British period apart from dazzling array of modern attractions. While you are in Delhi, you would visit attractions like Purana Qila, Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Rashtrapati Bhawan, Parliament House, etc. Also visit the famous temples of Delhi like Birla Temple, Lotus temple and Akshardham temple. Agra had been famous as the imperial city being the capital of the Mughals though it was Sikander Lodhi of Delhi Sultanate who moved his capital there. Primarily, it is on the world tourist map because of the unmatched Taj Mahal built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaj Mahal. It is also a symbol of love. It is a dream of every tourist to visit Taj for its exquisite beauty. While you are in Agra, you would do well if you visit the Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri. All of these are World heritage sites. From here, you would move to Rajasthan, the abode of Kings.


Rajasthan is home to some of the most beautiful palaces and forts in India. Visit the regal Jaipur city which was among the few cities in the world to be planned. Even today, the city is noted for its regal splendor. There numerous attractions you would love to explore when you are in Jaipur. Hawa Mahal is one wonderful attraction. It was made for the women of the royal household to see outside while being unseen themselves. Then, there is City Palace a part of which is museum and in the other half royal family lives. Visit the other popular attractions like Jantar Mantar, Jal Mahal, etc. Outside the city, you must visit Amber Fort. It is representative of superb achievement Rajput architecture. The other popular cities are Udaipur and Jodhpur.

Goa is another popular destination in India. Though small by area and population, yet it attracts the largest number of tourists in India every year. It is famous for its beautiful beaches having soft white sands, blue waters of the Arabian Sea and majestic Goan-Portuguese heritage. You would Goa beaches like Anjuna, Calangute and Colva bustling with tourists. Here you would find tourists partying in psychedelic trance throughout the night. You can just frolic on the beach, swim in the blue waters of the sea or just lie leisurely in the hammock with cool breeze of the sea ruffling your hair. Apart from the beaches, there are numerous forts and palaces. Goa is also known for majestic churches you must visit.

Kerala, the God’s Own country, is one of the most famous tourist places in India. It is famous for scenic greenery, tea and rubber plantations, hill stations and backwaters. Kerala is blessed with fabulous attractions. Where else would you see mountains and beaches in so close a proximity?
